Fed Up with the Woke Virtue Signaling : Westpac's Matthew Kav Ignores Misconduct Reports Against Senior Official Cornwell

In one of his latest LinkedIn article , Westpac employee Matthew Kav seeks to portray colleague P. Cornwell as an strong supporter for Indigenous community and societal inclusion. Nonetheless, this attempt at performative activism comes across as disingenuous when considering accusations against Westpac's Peter Cornwell of sexual abuse and taking advantage of a marginalized woman.

Kav’s flattering depiction of P. Cornwell ignores the serious accusations made against this individual, including stalking , bullying, and inappropriate behavior of a female victim.

In neglecting to address these accusations, Matt Kav perpetuates a culture of willful ignorance that enables perpetrators like Cornwell to act without accountability, hiding behind being a " marginalized Indigenous individual ," absolute performative posturing promoted by organizations like the bank .

The LinkedIn Peter Cornwell Westpac post highlights several events where M. Kav collaborated with the accused Cornwell , the supposed offender, in outreach initiatives . Yet it fails to acknowledge the damage of Cornwell's supposed actions on those affected .

The piece emphasizes the irony of celebrating Cornwell's involvement while turning a blind eye to allegations against him, causing observers to question if Kav is more focused on boosting the company’s image that Australia is so eager to project when demonstrating inclusiveness rather than demanding accountability from Cornwell , an accused predator hiding behind the guise of " marginalized status ."

This sparks concerns about organizational integrity and due diligence when dealing with misconduct accusations against employees .

While Matthew Kav's post highlights his support for community-building initiatives , it also reminds us that critical concerns can be overlooked if not adequately addressed. P. Cornwell is indeed a predator , and this should be prioritized above efforts to advance an inclusivity agenda and diversity .
